The Young Professional of the Year Award, part of the 2025 Waste Innovation & Recycling Awards, celebrates the next generation of leaders driving meaningful change.

Open to individuals aged 35 or younger at the time of nomination closing, this award recognises a young talent who has impressed their colleagues, led with integrity, and delivered outstanding contributions to their organisation and beyond.

Nomination criteria:

  • Excellence in Role – How has the nominee excelled and distinguished themselves in their work?
  • Initiatives with Impact – What projects or initiatives has the individual led or championed? Highlight measurable outcomes.
  • Leadership – How has the individual demonstrated leadership within their organisation?

In 2024, Thomas Anton from Repurpose It was awarded the Young Professional of the Year Award. Thomas was recognised for managing the entire customer experience, including the front line of communication with clients, ensuring a positive customer experience, and fostering long-lasting relationships with customers.
